Dear Sailing Friends,

Yacht sailing races have already been organized in every corner of the world. Every island, every continent have already been circumnavigated in a framework of racing which is possible to circumnavigate. There is only one that race organizers have avoided yet: Africa.

We are able to organize the AEC, because we believe in it, because we address the people of other cultures, nations with respect and fondness, because we respect the sea and because we have been preparing for this event for our whole life. We know what we have to do.

We also believe yachtsmen’s hearts give a leap all over the world if a real adventure comes up ahead of them. Who are brave enough to sail for a long distance and who like landing not merely in a luxury marina but also a god-forsaken place. Who think about Africa as a dream and has the courage to get personally acquainted with it. Who aren’t afraid of losing their well-known, safe and comfortable frame of life around them. Who would like to join in an event which is more than a yacht race, more than getting to know other cultures, more than charity, this is all in one and much more: salute to Africa.

In the AEC not only professional teams and yachts, but also amateur yachtsmen are more than welcome to participate, who can sail with us only 2-3 weeks because of their engagements.

If you would like to participate in the first international complex yacht race event series which is at the same time exciting, hard, poignant and imposing, after what you are going to consider the world a little bit different, join to us. You are going to be enriched with a lifelong experience.

We are looking forward your honoured application.
